Our customer was retrieving casing on an abandoned well, this work required a drilling operation that would generate leakage. The solution obviously would not be available “off the shelf” therefore a bespoke sealing solution was required over the weekend.
We were given details of the application plus the required application details of pressure, temperature, media etc. From this info we could determine the seal profile and material requirement.
From our Hertford base, we are able to offer our customers an incredible choice of materials ranging from custom moulded billets of PTFE, a huge selection of Engineering plastics and a solution busting selection of rubber and PU elastomers. The size range is an unrivalled 5 mm to 1200 mm machined in the UK.
Application details checked; the profile chosen, the material to suit our customer’s requirements was FKM (Viton). Many materials and profiles are available from our machined seal offering, you don’t have to “make do” and simply fit whatever is “usually” available.
We delivered the seals on the Monday morning and gratefully accepted another order for a further shipment (these were delivered on the Thursday of the same week).
